After waiting all afternoon to get my luggage (it was stuck in Germany as it didn’t transfer to Venice in time), Anthony and I headed to eat some pasta in fresh clothing :). Then we ventured out to do our first day of Sightseeing in San Marco, Venice
But first food! PASTA TO GO was given so many good reviews that we thought we should try it.
It’s a tiny place that has very little seating and most people literally grab a to go box of Pasta and head out to sit wherever they find a comfortable seat. We walked and ate our food since the day was passing us way too quick. I have to say I think I may have chosen not the best option. I chose the seafood (if you follow my Instagram you know I’m a seafood lover). I say this because I saw the “arrabiata” pasta option, from someone who sat on the floor just outside, that looked much better than mine. Also, it was lacking in the seafood (ugh). But the noodles were verygood. It ‘s a really quick option to be on the go like we were. (also note that they do have parmesean cheese if you ask… but no chili flakes like I like my pasta, always).
Where I went & suggest you go too:

- I almost missed it because I got so distracted by the Basilica. I was told that it not only has the normal clock hands for the hour and minutes but the zodiac too. It’s pretty cool!

At just $8 euro per person you can go to the top of the Campanile. It’s said to be the best view in all of Venice. So far I completely agree.

This is one beautiful palace, full of art on every inch of the walls and ceilings. It’s remarkable how much painting and artwork had an impact on interiors. You’ll also find a collection of armor, swords and battle tools. In addition, the path of the palace will guide you straight in to the Bridge of Sighs that connects to the old prison (seen below).

*This was one interesting experience to cross the bridge from Doge’s Palace into the prison. Is was a bit spooky, but overall really cool.
