I actually didn’t do the research to find this place rather the Le Meridain concierge gave us the tip about this Tea Room, stating that is was the oldest Tea Room in London and somehow is awarded by the Queen for its Tea Parlor.

I have to say it was my most favorite High Tea experience that I have ever had. I went on a Sunday, the second day after arriving into London. I was actually so happy that I was staying at Le Meridian just across the street from it so my journey to Tea was about a 3 minute walk across the way, in Piccadilly Circus.

See the video of all what you get with tea below:

Special notes:

  • Unlike most teas I have had, you can choose a savory dish to accompany your tea. Which is nice since sometimes I want to do Tea but want more than just sandwiches.
  • Champagne and other alcoholic beverages are available completely separate from the tea.
  • Unlike Tea in the US, you can actually request more of the savory sandwiches.
  • My tea lasted for 2 hours and I don’t think I ate anything else that day.
  • The Rose tea is really special and I highly recommend it.

Fortnum & Mason’s Perfume Salon

I have to admit I spent the entire day at Fortnum and Mason, 2.5 hours for tea and another 2 hours shopping in the mens section, but primarily finding a unique scent. I love perfume! I mean perfume is so personal and can be a signature part of your style. I don’t collect a ton but I tend to purchase  two or three at a time; and when I run out of one I either buy another bottle or I research for a new scent. Usually, while I travel, I look for a unique perfume that I may not get in the US and I purchase one to bring back home. It’s just so special to have your own unique scent.

The perfume salon is insanely huge. I immediately went to an employee and told them what I like and what I was looking for: floral scent, either rose or lily or white florals and off we went sniffing away. The associates are super helpful and passionate about their perfumes, which made the experience so cool.

I ended up with the Roja scent called Scandal. It’s a combination of various white flowers. The Roja Scandal is a very ladylike classic floral scent that was recently released. It was everything I wanted.
